1956 FERRARI 250 GT
BOANO CONVERTIBLE

Robert Lee Sparks, Nevada

Robert Lee purchased this unique 250 GT Boano Convertible – chassis #0461GT – off the Ferrari stand at the 1956 New York Auto Show and has owned it ever since...Reportedly Enzo Ferrari sent word that Mr. Lee should not be charged more than $9,500, well below its cost. All Boano 250 GT Ferraris were built on the 2,600 mm LWB (Long WheelBase) chassis and were fitted with a 3-leter V12 producing about 220 horsepower. The 250 series lasted successfully from 1953 to 1964 to be taken over by the 275 and then 330.”
