Wildflowers in Monterey County

ABSTRACT: Photos of Central California Wildflowers seen in Lucia (52 miles south of Carmel via CA-1/Cabrillo Hwy), along Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd (25 miles through the Santa Lucia Mountains, Los Padres National Forest and Hunter Liggett Military Reservation) and along Jolon Rd northbound towards King City (18 miles) are shown from a day trip on Thursday, April 10, 2008.

It would be nice if readers could know where in Monterey County these pictures were taken so that they could also go to places where wildflower displays are worth seeing. For those interested, if you go to www.calphoto.com/wflowers.htm you can find almost daily notes from Californians, who have been out looking at wildflowers. They tell you what's blooming where and how good the displays are.

Terrific pics. I too enjoyed the plentiful wildflowers this year. Seeing them in photos and in the fields make one marvel at the many colors and interesting shapes and forms of the many, different wildflowers this area is blessed with and we can enjoy.
