Harrison Memorial Library: A Three-Star LJ Index of Public Library Service America Star Library

ABSTRACT: In 2017, the results of the tenth edition of the LJ Index of Public Library Service, were announced. 7,409 U.S. public libraries qualified to be rated in the Index, including 259 Star Libraries, each receiving three-Star, four-Star, or five-Star designations based on FY 2015 data of Circulation (per capita), eCirculation (per capita), Visits (per capita), Program Attendance (per capita) and Public Internet Computer Use (per capita) by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). In California, thirteen libraries were designated “Star Libraries.”
Five Stars (2): Beverly Hills Public Library, Santa Monica Public Library
Four Stars (8): Berkeley Public Library, Santa Clara County Library, Cerritos Public Library, Alpine County Library/Archives, Palo Alto City Library, Redwood City Public Library, San Francisco Public Library, San Mateo County Library
Three Stars (3): Harrison Memorial Library, Newport Beach Public Library, St. Helena Public Library
