Very Interesting! The city hires Kent Seavey, a certified architectural historian, to develop an inventory of historic homes in accordance with the city's LCP. The city council (non-professional historians) then removes a number of these houses in disagreement with the city's own Historic Resources Board. What a way to run a railroad.
By the way, Kent Seavey was just honored as a recipient of the Robert Stanton Award for his work in the field of Architecture by the local AIA chapter.

What a stealth revenue stream for the city.
Appeal Fee: $260
Inventory property owners: 300
$78,000 to city treasury.
Wittingly or unwittingly, the council has created a new revenue source for the city.
Curiously, the city council can now play the righteous avenger by removing all these properties from the inventory when the council was responsible for the 300 to begin with...the real unintended consequences of city incompetence!
