Eight hours of talk on the budget and more hours to go before the council approves the 2011-12 budget. Three of five council members are newbies and the other two have not had any other city council experience outside of Carmel so the honeymoon period will be long, but talking to empty chambers should tell the council members that they need to just start their amateur hours to professional hours and pass the budget and get on to over things like providing leadership on the proposed water projects. Ken Talmage ran on his water expertise, let's see some of it benefiting Carmel and the Monterey Peninsula water users.
