ABSTRACT: The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea’s REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR FlNE ARTS APPRAISAL SERVICES document includes the following sections: 1. INTRODUCTION, 2. BACKGROUND, 3. SCOPE OF WORK, 4. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS, 5. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS and 6. TERMS AND CONDITIONS.  “The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea is soliciting proposals from experienced and qualified appraisers to provide a confidential inventory and appraisal report that determines, for insurance purposes, the current market value of various works of art owned by the City.” And “The City does have a prior inventory and appraisal of art pieces and their locations; however, there are a small number of additional pieces that are not listed in the current inventory.” “SCOPE OF WORK The successful contractor wiII complete an appraisal and valuation report of all works identified in previous inventories and any works that have been since acquired by the City. Valuation will be based upon the insurance/replacement value of each piece.” All Proposals for Fine Arts Appraisal Services must be addressed to the Office of the City Clerk and received by March 7, 2014, at 5:00 P.M.
