ABSTRACT:  In the context of the City Council of the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea considering Agenda Item A. Provide direction on entering into an agreement for the management of the Sunset Center and deciding “By consensus, Council directed the City Administrator to work with Sunset Center” at the 3 April 2012 City Council Meeting and subsequent Closed Sessions regarding Property Negotiations – Government Code Section 54956.8, Real Property negotiations between City Administrator Jason Stilwell and Christine Sandin regarding the Sunset Cultural Center on October 1, 2012, February 4, 2013, March 4, 2013 and April 1, 2013, and the recent preparation and release of REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS LEASE AND OPERATION OF THE SUNSET CULTURAL CENTER by the City, SUNSET CULTURAL CENTER, INC. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND INDEPENDENT AUDITORS’ REPORTS FOR THE FISCAL YEARS 2006/2007 (third and last year of first three-year term of agreement), 2009/2010  (third and last year of first renewal or second three-year term of agreement), 2010/2011, 2011/2012 & SUMMARY OF OPERATIONS FOR FIRST, SECOND & THIRD QUARTERS FY 2012/2013 (third and last year of second renewal or third three-year term of agreement) documents are embedded.  Tables of SUNSET CULTURAL CENTER, INC. I. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, was held on the above date at the stated hour of 4:34 p.m. Mayor McCloud called the meeting to order.

XI. ORDERS OF COUNCIL
  1. Provide direction on entering into an agreement for the management of the Sunset Center.
 City Administrator Stilwell presented the staff report.

Christine Sandin, Executive Director of Sunset Center, spoke to the issue.

By consensus, Council directed the City Administrator to work with Sunset Center.
