“The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea is seeking the professional services of a leasing agent to find a long-term tenant for an unusual, residential property owned by the City.” “The community's vision is to find a long-term, single-family residential tenant capable of rehabilitating the property. The City would credit the tenant's expenditures for rehabilitation to offset a significant portion of the rent. The lease term is negotiable, but the City has assumed that 20 years (+/-) would be appropriate. The tenant would pay all costs for maintenance and repair during the term of the lease, after which the property would be returned to the City.”
