The
Mountain View Avenue entrance to the Mission Trail Nature Preserve
in Carmel-by-the-Sea will be closed for approximately six to eight weeks
starting Monday, August 8th to allow for the construction of safety and access
improvements. The project consists of a new stairway, a concrete pathway, a
small patio with new benches, a new trash container, and a small landscaped
storm water collection and percolation area.

Alternate
pedestrian accesses to the nature preserve are available at the Flanders
Mansion grounds off Hatton Road, Martin Road, 11th and Torres and the main
